Saudi artist Yazeed Fahad has captured the attention of the local music scene with his unique blend of guitar and vocal talents, effortlessly merging Western and Arabic influences in a distinct style. His musical journey began years ago when he taught himself to play guitar through YouTube tutorials. Since then, he has performed at major events like Riyadh Season in 2019 and the XP Music Future Conference in 2024, wowing audiences with his exceptional skills on both guitar and saxophone, earning him widespread recognition across the Kingdom.

In an exclusive interview with Yazeed, we explored various facets of his artistic journey — from his formative years that influenced his musical identity, to the stories behind his most famous songs, and his aspirations for the future.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Yazeed spoke about how living in diverse places like Nigeria, Libya, and Germany shaped his perspective, fostering a deeper understanding of minorities and a profound appreciation for cultural diversity. He also revealed that he draws inspiration from anyone who has succeeded in their field, seeing each successful local artist as a true role model.

As for his unique musical style, Yazeed emphasized that he doesn’t confine himself to specific genres or labels. Instead, he focuses on expressing his innermost questions and constantly striving to discover the best version of himself. “I often find myself telling the listener what I needed to hear during difficult times,” he shares. “Lately, I’ve begun describing it as turning my tough days into songs that offer solace to others during their pivotal moments.”

His song “Meen Betkun (Who Would You Be)” embodies this philosophy, addressing the idea of letting go of the victim mentality and embracing the role of the hero in life. Yazeed reflects: “I played the victim for a long time, until I realized that doesn’t create a future. The victim lives in the past, while the hero is the dreamer who transforms difficult days into fuel, motivating both himself and others.”. This song has touched the hearts of many listeners, especially on TikTok, marking a significant step in his presence on social media platforms.

This transformation didn’t just change his personal journey; it opened up new horizons for him. His song “Lasta Hurr (You Are Not Free)” reached television screens, chosen as part of the soundtrack for the series “Crashing Eid.” Yazeed recalls: “That moment made me realize that the world was starting to take me seriously. It was an experience I needed to mature in this field. I’m deeply grateful for that opportunity.”

“Lubb AlMawduu (The Heart of the Matter)”: A New Chapter with MDLBEAST Records

In early 2025, Yazeed began a new chapter in his career with the release of “Lubb AlMawduu (The Heart of the Matter)”, marking his first official collaboration with MDLBEAST Records. This project expanded his professional horizons and carried a deeper message: life is a continuous journey, and no one should be allowed to write your story’s ending.

Independent Creativity: Between Composing and Producing

Yazeed’s creativity extends beyond singing; it encompasses composing and producing his music, as he prefers to have full control over his work’s details, explaining “The last song I released is the only one where someone helped me with production. Other than that, I prefer working solo because I want everything to come from my own vision. This independence reflects his profound passion for music and his desire for every detail of his work to be an expression of his artistic soul.

What’s Next for Yazeed?

As Yazeed prepares for more stage performances in the future, he is focused on creating content that resonates with him deeply. “I’m currently in the ‘kitchen,’ working on my next pieces, and when they’re ready, I’ll be eager to share the results with my audience,” he says. He adds, “This year, I’ll be releasing an album, probably consisting of four tracks, promising an unprecedented musical variety.”

In Saudi Arabia’s flourishing music scene, Yazeed Fahad stands as an artist writing his own story, line by line, note by note. His music is a beautiful mix of personal experience and boundless ambition, as he strives to create works that speak to his soul and touch the hearts of listeners.
