Haya Alhejailan

Haya is the lead guitarist for an all-female Arabic psychedelic rock band called Seera, formed in late 2022 and currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Originally trained as a psychologist specializing in psychedelic science, Haya decided to leave academia and to join the music industry, trading in psychometric tests & phenomenological data for analogue fuzz pedals & microtonal scales.
In addition to being a musician, Haya works in music event management, focused on developing the local music scene. As the founder of the Arab Psychedelic Society, she is still involved in psychoeducational advocacy and is interested in exploring the curation of culturally relevant soundtracks for psychedelic assisted psychotherapy sessions in the Arab world.
