Showkey was born and raised in Giza, Egypt, where every street corner carried its own rhythm the shouts, the crowd, the slang, the hustles, and the distorted Shaaby melodies spilling from Toktoks. At the same time, working with his father since his young years immersed him in African culture, sounds, and people, giving him a second heartbeat that shaped his ears.. Between these two worlds, Showkey found his own voice. His music is not bound by genre but by creating all sounds into a language that speaks of his roots and how he listens to the world. For him, every beat is a reflection of where he comes from and an invitation to where he’s going.
