Accomplishment driven and marcom guru with 23 + years of experience in the marketing communication field. Salama showed interest in advertising through her love of commercials since she was a child as she used to tape-record TV commercial and play them over and over, to dissect, study, memorize and sing.
Growing up with the belief that communication can break every barrier. Salama followed her passion and began her career working as a Dubbing Director at Media Concepts where she dubbed several Disney Original cartoons. From there, she moved publishing where she assumed the role of Editorial Associate at Egypt’s first English lifestyle Magazine Cleo (AKA Enigma Magazine).
Salama entered the advertising world, when she joined Lintas (AKA Lowe) known as Lowe, later moved to Grey, then Bates. She later joined Synergy Advertising, when Salama joined it was a startup and during her 10 years, she was a big part of driving the agency to becoming one of Egypt’s leading Advertising Agencies. She later moved to Animation Advertising where her main role was to setup the Client Servicing Department and as well as train and get the team running efficiently. In 2010 she joined a startup group called Breakthrough, where she managed both the Advertising & the Digital companies.
In December 2014 Salama established The Worx for Events, redefining the marketing, advertising and events landscape in Egypt.
In 5 years the Salama has managed with her Partner to take the market by storm, with the platforms they created, built and introduced to the market, such as:
-Establish Creative Industry Summit, The Mena Region’s leading platform for showcasing & Celebrating Creativity.
-Awarded by Cannes Lions, the Global Festival of Creativity to be their Official Office and Representative in Egypt.
-Partnering in and running the Biggest Esports Professional tournament in Egypt, Esports Summit with around 8,000 Professional players.
-Brought to Egypt, the global platform, Women Economic Forum, bringing to Egypt over 800 female leaders from 75 countries.
-Finally and most recently, launching The NU Digital Awards Egypt’s and the Mena Region’s first homegrown digital awards aiming to award and celebrate all work and professionals in the digital sphere.
All the above falls in line the vision of growing and evolving the industry.
