Taffy, the Egyptian rapper redefining the region’s hip-hop scene, began her career at 16 and quickly rose to prominence, gaining attention with her debut Arabic single 'Malha Di' and collaborations with Egyptian rap star Abyusif. Inspired by Nicki Minaj and Lil' Wayne, Taffy blends Western and Middle Eastern sounds in her music, rapping fluently in both English and Arabic. Despite facing criticism and sexist backlash for defying traditional expectations, Taffy is determined to empower women in Egypt's male-dominated rap industry. Her skills, honed in both London and Cairo's underground scenes and her studies at the University of Westminster, continue to push boundaries and challenge the status quo.
