BALAD BEAST DAY 1 KICKS OFF WITH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL TALENT DAZZLING THE JEDDAH CROWD

Balad Beast roared to life in spectacular fashion on Thursday, featuring impressive performances by both global superstars and local heroes alike. Stars like Major Lazer, Russ, Ty Dolla $ign, Seth Troxler, and many other artists flocked to the Saudi city on the coast for the second edition of the festival.

The opening extravaganza was the first of two nights which will see thousands of festival goers come together for over hundreds of hours of live music from dozens of artists across four stages. One of the most unique and exciting festivals in the region returns as a standard for pushing the boundaries for one of a kind festivals.

Omda stage headline act Seth Troxler described the flourishing music scene in Saudi as, “It's incredible what they are doing here regionally, it’s such an emerging culture and to have it on this scale with these incredible underground artists is great. It really shows the people running these have such a deeply rooted knowledge of the culture that I hope to see spread over the next few years”. Performances from a diverse mix of international, regional, and local stars – such as Loush, Dorar, Maie, and Cosmicat – also helped get Balad Beast 2024 off to the perfect start.

Balad Beast 2024 sees the Bab, Omda, Souq and Roshan stages joined together in the historical Balad neighbourhood of Jeddah. By far one of the most unique and beautiful festival sites on the planet is helping spread and grow the music scene in the MENA Region. As well as electronic music, hip hop and R&B. The diverse range of genres has come to show what the MENA region can do in a wide range of musical styles.

“I have a really special connection with what is going on here in Saudi. I feel I have a very special connection with the people here and this amazing feeling that I am witnessing the beginning of something new which is so rare these days. And I also see a country that is opening up and a country that is opening up”. Said veteran DJ  and Ibiza legend Luciano about his experience of being in Saudi Arabia.

World-class, live performances in Jeddah continue this on Friday thanks to the star-studded line up being hosted at Balad Beast. Friday night sees the likes of Jungle, Eli Brown, Bebe Rexha, DJ Snake, and Wu-Tang Clan in action.
